In our minds, 2010 is a year with great potential for change, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, both in Lebanon and around the world. At RootSpace (a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organization, Registration Number 1848), we are building on our successes from 2008 and 2009 to promote positive and sustainable development in Lebanon (and beyond) through:
(1) promoting technology and innovation as key tools in sustainable development, and the creation of new and exciting opportunities in Lebanon;
(2) promoting social entrepreneurship, the concept that a business can pursue both profit and positive social impact as core elements and key measures of success; and
(3) connecting with regional and international efforts to foster social entrepreneurship and social innovation.
